With the hansgrohe Avalegra, we set out to make everyday routines at the washplace more convenient and enjoyable. The idea was to create a product that feels natural to use while offering real functional benefits. By combining the faucet and basin into one perfectly coordinated unit, we removed the guesswork of matching components and focused on making the experience as smooth as possible. The regular water outlet is positioned to provide plenty of space, making it easy to comfortably wash your hands or even fill a carafe with water without awkward angles or splashing. And with the wide rain spray and smart basin design, you can even wash your hair comfortably right at the washplace. Avalegra brings a bit of wellness into everyday life, whether at home or in a hotel bathroom.

Inspired by the timeless fascination of fountains, we created an experience that reconnects people with the beauty and vitality of water. We designed the experience to be hands-on and playful: the gentle rain spray from below invites you to explore the water directly, while the basin’s sloping shape guides the flow naturally toward you, creating a smooth and pleasant movement. And while it feels generous, the system is actually designed to use less water, showing that a great experience doesn’t have to come at the expense of sustainability.

The thin-walled basin is made from a durable, solid-surface material and works seamlessly with the integrated faucet. Its simple, clean design and smooth inner contours make it easy to keep clean and pleasant to use. The shape of the basin is carefully designed to guide the water naturally toward the user, creating a smooth, easy flow. Thanks to its balanced, slightly blocky aesthetics, Avalegra fits effortlessly into a wide range of interior styles without feeling intrusive or out of place. The goal was to combine a great look with practical features and responsible use of resources—making everyday interactions with water feel just a little better.
